Yes, Smithshire was down Sunday. Also this is complicated by an accident involving a QC tower. Please, Please, Please let me know about any outages ASAP. Things are going to be stressed (political word for slow) aggravated by the QC support a bit blinded from automatic monitoring. You and I are the eyes and ears on gear status for the time being. Thanks for the help.
ALERT: Feb 4 2010 - Gremlins in the system RESOLVED (beware)
For WestIL.net email users beware, the upgrades to higher quality service January 2010 also came with increased security. Simply using the wrong password over a dozen times will get you placed on a band list. This results in email failures & even blocked surfing to WestILMall.com hosted sites (WestIL.net & AFePub.com both included, but NOT eWestIL.net here.)
FIX #1:
DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSWORD, if you can surf BUT NOT WestIL.net then it is highly likely you got banned. Use something like www.IPChicken.com and call me with your in facing IP number given there.FIX #2:
Disable the firewall...Ain't going to happen, the band list is also FULL of hackers with NO LIFE which is the point of protecting you after all too.Beware accidental CAPS LOCK mistakes and "Sticky Notes" are wonderful things ;-)
